Jaguars Injury Update: Terrance Knighton To Miss Browns Game With Ankle Injury

Terrance Knighton is still on the mend from a deep ankle bruise that caused him to miss the game against the Colts last week, and according to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union, it will cause Knighton to miss the game against the Browns this weekend as well.

Knighton said he saw a specialist who told him the injury could get worse if aggravated. Knighton, who didn’t practice Wednesday, said he can move straight ahead, but feels a sharp pain when he turns on the ankle. He also noted the Jaguars have a capable backup in C.J. Mosley. “It’s not like I have to sacrifice myself because there’s nobody who can play the position. I’m more comfortable staying out knowing that C.J. is in there,” the third-year tackle said.

Knighton hasn't made very much of a statistical impact on the season, but he does provide a good amount of depth on the defensive line that will be difficult to replace, no matter how good C.J. Mosley is.
