According to a report in the Fort Myers News-Press, Pender was arrested by Cape Coral police Tuesday after an apparent argument between he and his on-again, off-again girlfriend that morning. A police report indicates that during the dispute that took place inside her car, he hit her with a right backhand before asking her to give him the keys and get out.
