USF Vs. Miami: Game Remains Tied 3-3 At Halftime

The second quarter between the Miami Hurricanes and South Florida Bulls turned into a punting contest. Neither team could get into scoring range, and the game remains tied 3-3 at the half.

It wasn’t as ugly as it sounds. Both teams were able to move the ball, but ended up stalling out in the middle of the field and leaving the other team with bad field position. USF drove 50 yards on one drive, thanks to a series of runs by B.J. Daniels and Darrell Scott, but had to punt from the Miami 38. Then on their last possession of the half, the Hurricanes got as far as the USF 31-yard line before a penalty and a sack of Jacory Harris by DeDe Lattimore forced them out of field goal range.

Harris is 13-for-19 passing for 137 yards, and USF has done a fairly good job containing running back Lamar Miler (41 yards on 10 carries). Darrell Scott has 45 yards rushing for the Bulls, who get the ball to begin the third quarter.
