2011 Lightning Schedule: Tampa Bay Kicks Off Busy Week Against Toronto

The Tampa Bay Lighting have a good chance to move up the rankings with a busy three game week.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are 9-8-2 on the young Season, but they'll have a good opportunity to make up some serious ground this week as they play three games.

The first is against the Toronto Maple Leafs at home on Tuesday. The game starts 7:30 pm and can be seen on Sun Net. The Maple Leafs have on of the best offenses in the NHL. They score 3.0 goals per game, good for 6th in the NHL. They're defense, however, leaves something to be desired. They let in 3.3 goals per game which ranks 27th in the NHL.

Their next game comes on Friday against their instate rival Florida Panthers. The Panthers are incredibly well balanced, ranking in the top ten n both goals per game and points allowed per game. Their power play is extremely strong, but their power play kill leaves something to be desired.

Their final game of the week is on Saturday, the conclusion of a home and home series against the Panthers.

We'll be following these games all week long on SB Nation Tampa Bay. For more on the Lightning, check out our Tampa Bay blog Raw Charge.
