USF Bulls Vs. Georgia Southern Eagles Preview

The USF Bulls take on the Georgia Southern Eagles tonight at the St. Pete Times Forum. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM tonight.

After going 0-2 this weekend in the Naismith Memorial Hall Of Fame Tip-off, the USF Bulls (3-2) are back in Tampa to take on the Georgia Southern Eagles (1-2) tonight at the St. Pete Times Forum. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 and will be aired regionally on Bright House Sports Newtork. The game will also be streamed online at ESPN3.com and the duo on Jim Lighthall and Todd Kalas will be calling the action on 1250 AM WHNZ.

Georgia Southern and USF play two completely different styles of play. The Eagles will try to run all night while the Bulls will slow things down and run the offense through their posts. GSU is led by 6'7" G Eric Ferguson, who leads the team in points and rebounds with 17.3 and 8.0 a game respectively. Guards Jelani Hewitt (13.7), Ben Drayton III (13.0), and Willie Powers III (11.3) also average double figure scoring.

USF has some good news and bad news in regards to their injury situation tonight. The good news is that PG Anthony Collins looks set to make his USF debut tonight after missing the first couple of weeks of the season with various injuries. The bad news is that Augustus Gilchrist is a gametime decision after injuring his left shoulder in Sunday's loss to Penn State.

Even with Gilchrist out, the Bulls should roll tonight. It won't be a 30 point shellacking, but USF should have a comfortable 8-15 point lead throughout the night.
