Lightning Vs. Blackhawks Score Update: Steven Stamkos Scores Hat Trick In Second Period To Tie Game At 4-4

After an uneventful first period, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Chicago Blackhawks have both come out swinging. After a furious second period, the Lightning and Blackhawks are all tied up, 4-4, at the second intermission.

Goalies Dwayne Roloson and Ray Emery certainly have their work cut out for them tonight. Despite both goalies being perfect in the first period, there have been a stunning eight goals scored in the second 20:00.

Leading the charge is Steven Stamkos, who has already pulled off the hat trick, scoring three of Tampa Bay's second-period goals. His third goal was a power play goal that tied it up for the Lightning with just over 30 seconds left in the second. Adding to the scoring for the Lightning was Brett Connolly, whose backhand put the Lightning up 2-1 early in the second period.

On the Chicago side, Patrick Sharp has two of the four Blackhawk goals.

A taut game in the early going has turned into a good old-fashioned shoot-out. This is definitely a game to keep your eye on if you're not already tuned in.

As always, Raw Charge is your source for all things Lightning.
