SEC Football Standings: Florida In Third Place In SEC East

The Florida Gators haven't had a dream season this year, and they sit at just at just 3-4 in Conference, good for third place in the Division.

The Florda Gators have not lived up to expectations this year, and anything less than excellent is not going to get it done in the difficult SEC Conference. As a result, they stand at just 5-4 overall, with all four losses coming in the confines of the SEC. They are in third place of the SEC Eastern Conference, behind the Georgia Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks.

Speaking of those Georgia Bulldogs, they are the owners of a seven game winning streak (after starting 0-2) and are now in the driver's seat in the Eastern division. South Carolina stands just a half a game back and already own a win over Georgia this year. With a strong push down the stretch they could eek past the Bulldogs and get into the Championship Game.

On the Western Side, well we all know what's happening on the Western side. LSU beat Alabama this weekend and are still undefeated, both in conference and overall. They are on a collision course with the National Championship game, and now that the game against Alabama is in the rear-view, there don't seem to be a lot of teams that could derail them. The interesting thing is that Alabama is still No. 3 in the BCS, so if they win out and Oklahoma State loses, they could make it into the National Championship as well for a re-match with the Tigers.
