The College Football season is starting to hit the stretch run, as crazy as that sounds, and it's time to start looking ahead to the bowl seasons and the potential matchups it could present. All of these matchups are via the SB Nation bowl projections page.

Florida State won't be in the best bowl of all the teams we cover, but they could have the most intriguing matchup. SB Nation has them playing in the Champs Sports Bowl against Notre Dame, and that would present a matchup of two of the most storied programs in NCAA History.

Florida is also in a matchup of two storied programs, they're slated to play against Michigan in the Gator Bowl. That sounds pretty convenient naming wise, but I'm not sure how good of a matchup these teams are. The Gators are currently 6-6 while the Wolverines are already 10-2. If that's the case, we'll really see if a middle of the road SEC team is truly better than a top of the line Big 10 squad.

South Florida has a pretty intriguing matchup as well, against North Carolina in the Belk Bowl, whatever that is. I guess the lesson here is that bowl games tend to have some intrigue to them, no matter who is playing in them.
