The woes on the power play continue for Tampa Bay on the road. In the first period, the Lightning had two power play chances and failed to capitalized on either of them. For each man-advantage chance, the Lightning lacked puck control and had close to zero time in the offensive zone.
The Lightning did score first when Ryan Shannon finished off a pass from Dominic Moore. Victor Hedman also assisted on the goal.
After the goal, the Lightning continued to generate pressure in the offensive zone and began getting more quality scoring chances on Bryzgalov.
Tampa Bay will begin the second period on the power-play. Let’s see if they can start getting some goals on the man advantage and build on the 1-0 lead.
