2012 NFL Draft Standings: Jacksonville Jaguars Would Pick 5th Overall If Season Ended Today

If the 2011 NFL season ended today, the Jacksonville Jaguars would have the 5th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Jacksonville Jaguars picked up their fourth victory of the season on Sunday in a blowout win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, improving their overall record to 4-9. If the 2011 NFL season ended today, the Jacksonville Jaguars would have the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. With the win, the Jaguars slide down only one spot in the draft order. At the fifth overall pick, the Jaguars would be in prime position to pick one of the top talents in the draft.

Currently however the Jaguars are tied with five other teams, record wise. The Jaguars are tied with the Washington Redskins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, and the Cleveland Browns. Based on current strength of schedule, the Jaguars would hold the SOS tie breaker over most of the other teams they are currently tied with.
