NBA Free Agency: Glen Davis Trade Delayed By FIBA Paperwork

The Orlando Magic agreed to a trade on Friday that will send Brandon Bass to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Glen "Big Baby" Davis and reserve shooting guard Von Wafer. The trade has yet to be officially processed by the league because Von Wafer has yet to have his waiver processed by FIBA after Wafer signed with a European team during the lockout, according to our Magic blog Orlando PInstriped Post.

Once FIBA clears Wafer, Orlando can officially trade Brandon Bass to the Boston Celtics for him and Davis. The teams reached an agreement on that trade Friday, according to multiple reports. Davis will join the Magic on a four-year contract worth $26 million, while Wafer will sign a small, three-year deal with team options on the second and third years.

Davis was one of the players that Dwight Howard requested the Magic sign from free agency, so it will be important for them to get him into camp as soon as possible to help make Howard as comfortable as possible.
