The Florida Gators had a solid 2-0 week, rebounding from this month's loss to the Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome. The Gators notched a solid non-conference win against Arizona and rolled over Rider. They will now enjoy a full week off as the semester winds down, coming back this weekend against Texas A&M in Sunrise. While the Gators avoided a loss, they still fell one spot in the Coaches Poll, dropping from 12th to 13th.
The Kansas Jayhawks jumped the Gators after a big win against Ohio State, who defeated the Florida earlier in the season. At the top of the poll, the aforementioned Syracuse squad took over the number one spot after fellow SEC East member Kentucky was upset at Indiana on Saturday. Florida's early season non-conference schedule will certainly pay dividends for RPI and strength of schedule rankings later on, as the Gators only two losses of the year came at the hands of the number one and number two ranked teams in the country.
