Mike Thomas Injury Update: Jaguars WR Out Vs. Falcons

The Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football on NFL Network, but they will be without starting wide receiver Mike Thomas. Thomas suffered a concussion early in last Sunday's victory over the Tampa Bay Bucanneers on a wide receiver screen play. Thomas left the game and did not return.

On a shortened week, Thomas missed both days of practice still dealing with the symptoms of the concussion. He was officially ruled out for the game today, which is no surprise given the NFL's focus put onto head injuries this season. It's likely that newly claimed wide receiver Taylor Price will fill in for Mike Thomas on Thursday Night, but rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert didn't seem to skip a beat when Thomas left the game.
