Just minutes into the second quarter, the Atlanta Falcons have a 17-0 lead over the Jacksonsville Jaguars. The Falcons scored their second touchdown on just a one play drive that took four seconds off the clock. The play was set up by a Jacksonville special teams mistake. Jarrett Dillard fumbled an Atlanta's first punt of the night. The Falcons' Sean Witherspoon pounced on the bouncing ball at the five yard, and Turner would take it in just one play later.
After a 41 point week last Sunday, the Jags offense reverted back to it's typical 2011 form in the first quarter. The Jags were forced to punt on each of the first three possessions. Maurice Jones-Drew broke off a 43 yard run to move the ball into Atlanta territory on their third drive, but the possession would quickly stall there. The Falcons line has applied heavy pressure to Blaine Gabbert so far, in what could be a long night for the Jags and their rookie quarterback.
