Jaguars Vs. Falcons Score Update: Atlanta Dominating Jacksonville, Leads 27-0 After First Half

After forcing seven turnovers en route to a 41-14 win last Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars are quickly coming back down to earth Thursday night against an Atlanta Falcons team looking to stay in the Wild Card race. The Falcons dominated the Jaguars in the second quarter, building their lead to 27-0 after thirty minutes at the Georgia Dome.

Atlanta capitalized on Jacksonville turnovers in the second quarter, scoring ten points on Jaguar giveaways. Michael Turner took it in from five yards out just one play after Jarett Dillard fumbled a punt. Later in the second, Falcon quarterback Matt Ryan would hit Roddy White on an easy lob pass for his second touchdown pass of the evening. Both White and tight end Tony Gonzalez were open in the end zone, but it was White who snatched it from his teammate for the Falcons third touchdown of the night.

The Jaguars offense had little success in the first half, managing only three first downs compared to the Falcons 13. Blaine Gabbert completed only three passes and Maurice Jones-Drew, who broke off a 43 yard run for the Jags only big play, hobbled off the field before the end of the half.
