Florida vs: Mississippi Valley State: Gators Get 28 Point Win In Tune Up Before Florida State Visits Gainesville

The Florida Gators won their fourth game in a row on Monday night, beating an overmatched Mississippi Valley State team at the O'Connell Center. The Gators were hot from outside, hitting 10 of 21 attempts from behind the arc. Erving Walker led the way with 19 points, getting into the lane with regularity and going a perfect eight for eight from the free throw line.

Fellow backcourt mates Kenny Boynton and Bradley Beal added 16 and 13 points, respectively. It was not only the backcourt that overwhelmed the Delta Devils, as the Gators had 13 rebound advantage on the glass as well. Patric Young chipped in with 12 points and eight boards down low for the Gators.

It was a nice tune up before cross-state rival Florida State comes to Gainesville on Thursday night. The Noles are 8-3, but are without a quality non-conference win in this first month of the season.
