The Tampa Bay Lightning will travel to Colorado on Friday night to take on the Avalanche in the first meeting between the two teams this year. The game starts at 9 pm and can be seen on Sun Net.
This will wrap up a a brief three game road trip for the Lightning, who have split the first two games. But they are coming of a 7-2 dismantling at the hands of the San Jose Sharks.
The Colorado Avalanche are not a great NHL team this year, sitting at just 17-17-1, and the Lightning should have a pretty good chance to earn a win in this one. The Avalanche rank 23rd and 22nd in goals per game and goals allowed per game respectively, so the Lightning offense should be able to be on the attack without too much concern about a counter-punch by the Avalanche offense.
We'll have plenty more on this game throughout the day on SB Nation Tampa Bay. For more on all things Lightning hockey check out Raw Charge, and for more on the Avalanche head over to Mile High Hockey.
