The Orlando Magic welcome the Houston Rockets to the Amway Center tonight at 7 p.m. Eastern. This is the home opener for the Magic, and the first game of the season for the Rockets. The game will be broadcast locally in hi-def on Sun Sports. Out of market fans can see the game on NBA TV.
The Magic opened their season on Christmas Day with a 89-97 loss to the Oklahoma Thunder. Center Dwight Howard, who has been clamoring for a trade since training camp, was limited to just 11 points in that game. Howard averaged more than 22 points per game last year, shooting 59 percent. Ryan Anderson led the Magic with 25 points and 10 rebounds in that game.
Tom Ziller at SB Nation predicted the Magic to finish second in the Southeast and make the playoffs this year.
