The Jacksonville Jaguars don't have a ton to play for this weekend, but they could make sure that the Colts end up with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft with a win on Sunday. I'm not sure that's what they really want to happen, but that is their best case scenario. For some perspective on this matchup, here are our partners at Odds Shark.
In the Peyton Manning Era, Week 17 meant a week of rest because the Colts had their playoff position locked up and it predictably meant a good spot to bet against Indianapolis. But with the Colts struggling in 2011 and starved for wins, are they a good bet to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars on the Week 17 odds menu? The Colts are just 3-14 ATS past 17 season-ending games, but recently, they have been terrific in the month of December, covering 6 straight. The Jaguars meanwhile have trended towards the OVER in Week 17 (5 in a row), angle mirrored in Indy as the Colts have gone 9-1 past 10 season-ending matches.Of note, 5 of the past 6 meetings here have gone OVER as well.
And here are the complete odds from the SB Nation Odds Page powered by Odds Shark.
