The West Virginia Mountaineers have arrived in Miami ahead of their Orange Bowl matchup against the Clemson Tigers at Sun Life Stadium on Jan. 4, and the team is excited to be there as Scott Grayson of West Virginia Illustrated reports.
"It's pretty festive," says Head Coach Dana Holgorsen. "It's pretty exciting and we look forward to going to the Fontainebleau to get settled in and enjoy a week's worth of festivities but also understand that we are down here to win a football game."
"Everyone's excited," says Offensive Lineman Don Barclay. "Everyone was looking out the window (of the plane) seeing all of the oranges and everything. This is a great atmosphere, the weather is nice and everyone's pumped to get this game on."
This year's Orange Bowl represents the third different BCS game the Mountaineers have appeared in the last seven seasons. In the 2005 season, West Virginia topped Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and followed that up with a Fiesta Bowl victory after the 2007 season.
