The No. 10 Florida Gators (10-3) return home on New Year's Eve to face the Yale Bulldogs (8-3), hoping a return to the O'Connell Center will get them back on track.
Florida lost in 85-83 in double overtime to Rutgers on Thursday, their third loss of the year. All three Gator losses have come on the road, with the two previous defeats coming at the hands of national powers Syracuse and Ohio State.
Florida's home and road splits tell the story: the Gators score 89.9 points per game in Gainesville, 14.9 more than on the road. Florida defends better at home as well, allowing just 62.1 points per game, 17.2 less than when they travel.
This will be the first time Yale and Florida have ever faced off. The Bulldogs are the first Ivy League team to travel to Gainesville since Harvard in December of 1969.
