Rays Scored 11, Astros Did Not

In their only Spring match up, the Rays took it to the Astros today in an 11-3 victory.

Number three starter Wade Davis was on the mound, allowing six hits over six innings in what proved to be a strong spring outing. Davis allowed one home run on his final pitch, his only earned run.  Astros starter Bud Norris gave up six hits in only four innings and four earned runs.

In bullpen news, Kyle Farnsworth and Neil Schenk paired up to face the 7th. Farns with a ground out, and Schenk following with a ground out and a walk. The third out was on an attempted steal at second.

Jake McGee closed the game, pitching a shut out 8th and 9th. McGee gave up one hit and two walks. Only one of his 9 batters faced was called on strikes.
