FC Tampa Bay draws 0-0 with the Montreal Impact on its First Road Game of the Season

A gusting 25 mph wind, bristling near-freezing temperatures, and a lack of finishing plagued both teams as FC Tampa Bay drew 0-0 with the Montreal Impact. Near misses from Yoshi Yoshitake and Warren Ukah were as close as FCTB could come to drawing blood against Bill Gaudette in the Impact goal. Daryl Sattler recorded his second shutout of the young season.

The midfield’s inability to cohesively attack with the forwards has been troublesome for all three games this season, and looked no closer to being cured, as numerous through balls were easily collected by Gaudette and the Impact defense.

FC Tampa Bay return home to face the Atlanta Silverbacks this Saturday at 7:30 PM at Al Lang Stadium. Atlanta is now 0-0-3 on the year, losing last night to the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers on a stoppage time penalty kick.
