The recent struggles by the Tampa Bay Storm continue as they trail the Orlando Predators 35-21 at the Amway Center in Orlando. An injury to starting QB Grant Gregory forced Brian Zbydniewski into the starting role, and has done a decent job so far tonight going 12-20 for 143 yards and an interception.
The Storm have had all their touchdowns on the ground, with Terrance Royal scoring 2 1 yard touchdowns and Amarri Jackson scoring on a 2 yard touchdown as well.
Orlando quarterback Nick Hill has done a fantastic job so far today, going 11-16 for 165 yards with 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. Orlando wide receiver T.T. Toliver has had a solid game after missing last week’s against the Jacksonville Sharks, catching 3 balls for 52 yards and 3 touchdowns.
One of the keys to the game for the Storm was protecting the ball, and the two turnovers the Storm have committed have turned into 14 quick points for Orlando which is the difference in the game. On the other end, the maligned Predators offensive line has done a good job holding the Storm defensive line in check. The AFL sack leaders have only gotten to Hill once, with Tim McGill being credited with the takedown.
