Yesterday should have been Game 2 in this four game series at New York, but the skies had other plans and the game was called due to rain. To no one’s surprise, the Rays declined playing a double header this afternoon and Game 2 was moved to September 22nd – which should make the playoff race all that more interesting at the end of the season.
↵That’s the fun of divisions in baseball, right??
From Aug. 26 – Sept. 28 the Rays will play 25 of the last 31 games of the season against the American League East: six against Baltimore, six against Toronto, seven against Boston, and now six against New York.
(The other six games are against the Texas Rangers)
↵One more game before the All-Star Break would have been fun, but buckle your seat belts Rays fans. The month of September may give you an anxiety attack!
