NCAA Football Rankings: Florida Gators Move Up To No. 12 Following Blowout Win

The Florida Gators improved their record to 4-0 on the season with their 48-10 thrashing of the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday. The victory did more than boost their record, though; it also propelled them higher in the polls. Indeed, the Gators now rank 12th in both the Associated Press poll and the USA Today Coaches' poll, up from 15th in both polls last week.

However, the Gators stand just third among SEC teams in the polls, with the Louisiana State Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide (both 4-0) ranking ahead of them. LSU owns the top spot in the AP poll and the no. 2 spot in the USA Today Coaches' poll, while Alabama ranks third in both. The Gators take on 'Bama, led by Will Muschamp's Jedi master Nick Saban, in The Swamp on Oct. 1.
