SB Nation has just come out with the latest edition of their 2011 NFL Power Rankings. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are pretty well represented, coming in at 11th overall, which is pretty good if I say so myself. Here is what the guys who put the rankings have to say about the Bucs.

I said last week a good barometer of this team would be how they did against the defending division champs. The result? A 16-13 victory. For the second season in a row, they look for real.

That victory against the Falcons may mean more to the Bucs than just a win in the column. The Falcons are a Super Bowl pick for a lot of experts and an important obstacle that the Bucs need to hurdle in their own division. That victory probably gave them a lot of confidence in themselves as a team, but it also put a lot of confidence in those making these kinds of lists. That's a big step for this team.
