Jaguars Vs. Colts Score Update: Jaguars Lead 7-0 After First Quarter

The Jacksonville Jaguars are hosting the Indianapolis Colts in the final week of the regular season. The Colts have turned things around in the past couple of weeks and are attempting to end the season on a more positive note with a win on the first day of 2012. The Jaguars are also hoping to close out their season with a big home win.

The Jaguars broke out a long drive in the first quarter that took them right to the edge of the Indianapolis goal line. They attempted a touchdown run on third and fourth downs, but were turned away by a surprisingly tough Colts defense.

The Jags were able to force the Colts to punt in short order, however. On their next possession, the Jacksonville squad managed a six-play scoring drive that took just over three minutes, culminating in a 23-yard touchdown pass from Blaine Gabbert to Chastin West for a 7-0 Jaguars lead.
