Dwight Howard Trade Rumors: Los Angeles Clippers Among Howard's Desired Destinations, According To Report

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has added the Los Angeles Clippers to the list of teams to which he'd commit long-term, Chris Sheridan reported Monday, citing a source. Howard had previously sought a trade to either the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, or New Jersey Nets. "He's been watching them a lot," Sheridan's source said. "He's intrigued by the Clippers."

Howard, who can become a free agent in the summer of 2012, has sought a trade from Orlando, looking to play for a winning team in a bigger market. The Magic granted Dan Fegan, Howard's agent, permission to seek a trade with Dallas, the Lakers, and New Jersey; whether they'll allow him to discuss trades with the Clippers remains to be seen.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles, the Clippers and the Magic "haven't had any serious discussions [...] about Howard since the lockout was lifted."
