2012 NFL Mock Draft: Mel Kiper Has Miami Dolphins Selecting Riley Reiff

The Miami Dolphins own the No. 9 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, and with it they should select Iowa Hawkeyes offensive tackle Riley Reiff, says ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. in his first NFL mock draft.

Reiff is arguably the best offensive lineman in the 2012 NFL Draft and played left tackle the majority of his career with the Hawkeyes. This makes it a bit of an odd pick for the Dolphins, who selected Jake Long with the first overall pick just a few years ago to be their franchise left tackle and outside of a down season in 2011, Long has been nothing short of fantastic.

Kiper doesn't really explain where Reiff would play for the Dolphins, just that he would be an immediate starter for them. While it's possible he could make the switch to the right side, that transition isn't always easy.
