Magic Vs. Pistons: Orlando Winning Streak Snapped In Detroit

The Orlando Magic's four game winning streak came to an end on Monday night as the Detroit Pistons defeated the Magic 89-78 at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The Magic went woefully cold in the second half, stringing together 17 and 15 point quarters as the Pistons pulled away. They were eight for 22 from three-point range, while missing seven free throws to a Pistons team that may be one of the worst in the league by the end of the year.

Dwight Howard led Orlando with 19 points, and grabbed only 7 rebounds. He had little help, however, as only Hedo Turkoglu seemed to hit shots consistently on Monday. Ben Gordon caught fire for Detroit, leading the Pistons with 26 points. Both he and Rodney Stuckey consistently beat the Magic guards, penetrating and getting to the line 23 times between the two of them.

The Magic now return home and will host the only winless team in the league in the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.
