Providence Vs. South Florida Score Update: Friars' LaDontae Henton Scores 24 In First Half To Keep Pace With Bulls

After one half at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, the Providence Friars and South Florida Bulls are all square at 39-39. It was a well-played half between both clubs, who hit their shots and limited turnovers. The Bulls shot a red hot 55 percent from the floor, led by Ron Anderson who was six of seven. He led USF with 12 points, while grabbing three rebounds and dishing two assists. Hugh Robertson added 11 points for Stan Heath's club, which missed just one free throw attempt in the first half.

The Friars, however, have kept it close by hitting their shots from behind the arc. Providence is five of ten from downtown, led by the explosive LaDontae Henton who has an amazing 24 points in the first 20 minutes. Henton hit four of six threes to pace the Friars and single-handedly keep them in the game. The Bulls will have to slow him down in the second half to put some distance between them and the last place Friars.
