Explosive defensive end and linebacker prospect Tyriq McCord may have already committed to the Miami Hurricanes, but that doesn't mean he's just going to sit back until National Signing Day on Wednesday.
McCord spent last weekend in Los Angeles visiting the USC Trojans along with many other top recruits.
Tyriq McCord has already signed with the Miami Hurricanes, but he's also been getting the USC full-court press lately, and both are considered high-needs. McCord is at the coveted weakside defensive end position and could be marketed as the next Nick Perry, which is too compelling a sales pitch to miss out on.
McCord stands 6'3" and weighs 220 pounds, yet runs like a safety. He's also a standout contributor on special teams. Most services rate McCord as a four-star defender, and consider him one of the best 20 defensive ends or linebackers in the country.
