Simulated BCS rankings: FSU, Florida in top 10

The Seminoles look like legit national title contenders, as long as they can stay perfect and hope Oregon trips up.

The "real" BCS rankings are due out for a few more weeks, so that's why we've entrusted SB Nation contributor Samuel Chi to develop these fancy simulation rankings until that happens. And guess what? It's the 1990s, y'all: Florida and Florida State are both in the Top 10.

The Seminoles look like a true BCS Championship contender and a dark horse to end the SEC's run of dominance, sitting at No. 4 this week behind Alabama, Oregon and LSU. With the Tide and Tigers set to play in November, Noles fans should set their sights on the Ducks to stumble if they want a shot at making the trip to Miami in January.

Meanwhile, the upstart Gators are a No. 10, and could help their in-state rivals this week with a huge home game against LSU. Will Muschamp's team is undefeated but enter an absolutely brutal stretch of play against Top 10 opponents LSU, Georgia and South Carolina in the next four weeks. Anything short of a perfect run through that gauntlet would likely leave UF out of the title picture, but two of three could put them in contention to win the SEC East.
