The Davidson Wildcats will play host to the Jacksonville Dolphins on Saturday afternoon in Richardson Stadium.
Jacksonville comes in as the prohibitive favorites to run their record to 6-1 on the campaign against the seemingly overmatched Wildcats. The Dolphins are coming off of a 38-17 pounding of the Morehead State Eagles, putting themselves atop the Pioneer League standings.
Last weekend against the Eagles, Jacksonville showed a very balanced offensive attack. They racked up 480 total yards including 254 passing and 226 rushing. Kade Bell led the way, as the quarterback tossed four touchdowns on 16-of-22 passing for 238 yards.
Eric Baker also had a great day, running for 101 yards and 18 carries.
Davidson is 0-5 on the campaign and reeling after a blowout loss versus the Dayton Flyers last Saturday. The Wildcats couldn't do anything to stop the ground game against Dayton, giving up 289 rushing yards.
