The Florida International Golden Panthers will be in search of their second win of the season against the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders on Saturday.
The Golden Panthers are trying to break their four-game losing streak against a Middle Tennessee State team that's 3-2. Florida International was beaten 34-20 by the Arkansas State Red Wolves last weekend, allowing 421 yards in the process.
Despite holding the ball for over 37 minutes, FIU couldn't hold off Arkansas State thanks to a pair of costly interceptions. The offense couldn't generate much throughout the game, averaging only 4.9 yards per pass and 3.9 for each run.
The Blue Raiders didn't fare much better this past weekend versus the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, falling 31-17. Middle Tennessee State allowed 500 total yards including 296 passing.
Senior wide receiver Anthony Amos had a great day, amassing seven catches for 96 yards. On the year, Amos has four touchdown receptions.
