The Miami Hurricanes are one of the ACC's biggest surprises, and they will look to extend their conference winning streak against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday.
Miami (4-2, 3-0 ACC) sits alone atop the Coastal Division thanks to a potent offense. The Hurricanes are averaging 441 yards and 30 points per game, improvements of roughly 70 yards and four points over the 2011 season. In Miami's two losses, however, the 'Canes have been stifled. They lost to Kansas State, 52-13, on Sept. 8, and the team is coming off a 41-3 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame.
North Carolina (4-2, 1-1) just won its third straight game, a 48-34 upset over Virginia Tech. During the winning streak, the Tar Heels have averaged 47 points per game. Quarterback Bryn Renner is leading the Carolina attack, passing for 269 yards per game and 15 touchdowns to just four interceptions.
