The Fla. International Golden Panthers (1-6 overall, 0-3 Sun Belt) are in search of their first conference victory of the season as they go up against the Troy Trojans (3-3, 2-2) on Saturday. The Panthers are coming off a 34-30 loss to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders last week. In that game, quarterback Jake Medlock completed 24-of-38 passes for 380 yards and two touchdowns.
Running backs Darian Mallary and De'andre Jasper both ran for touchdowns in that game, but the defense could not hold onto a three-point lead with one minute left in the game and gave up a game-winning touchdown with 36 seconds remaining.
The Trojans on the other hand are coming off a 31-26 loss to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. In that game the Trojans had two quarterbacks combine for 16-of-28 passing for 254 yards and three touchdowns. However, on 40 total rushing attempts the team averaged only three yards per carry.
