The Detroit Pistons handed the Orlando Magic their fourth consecutive preseason loss Tuesday night, 112-86. DeQuan Jones led all scorers with 22 points, but it wasn't enough to carry the Magic against a Pistons team that pulled away in the second quarter.
Detroit led by just three at the end of the opening period, but jumped out to a double-digit lead after a stagnant start to the second by the Magic. The Pistons outscored Orlando 35-14 in the second quarter, while just edging the Magic by three points in both the first and second quarter.
Rodney Stuckey put up 19 points and five assists for Detroit, while Greg Monroe chipped in 15 points. Four Pistons scored nine.
Gustavo Ayon scored 19 points on eight-of-12 shooting and added 10 rebounds and three assists. Justin Harper and Armon Johnson contributed off the bench for Orlando, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Magic take on the Indiana Pacers on Friday at 7 p.m., still without their first preseason win.
