Florida St. Seminoles fans are used to winning, but are most used to it with Florida St.'s football program. Now in 2012, expectations surround Florida St.'s basketball program as well.
Last year, Florida St.'s basketball team captured the ACC title, something few, if any, expected them to do, as they defeated both Duke and North Carolina en route to the ACC championship.
This year, the Seminoles will look to build on that success, but they know that they won't be taken lightly in 2012-'13.
"People won't take us for granted," senior guard and ACC Tournament MVP Michael Snaer said Monday during Florida State's preseason media day at FSU. "They're going to play us hard because they know we're going to bring it, the hard-nosed basketball. People will be looking to beat us."
Florida St. will open the 2012-'13 regular season on Nov. 9, when they take on South Alabama. The Seminoles won't begin ACC play until Jan. 5, when they head to Clemson to take on the Tigers.
