2012 BCS Rankings, Week 9: Florida maintains No. 2 spot, Seminoles climb standings

The Florida Gators maintained the No. 2 spot in the BCS rankings for the second consecutive week, trailing only Alabama in the standings

The second official BCS standings of the 2012 college football season were released on Sunday night, but there was no surprise at the very top of the rankings, as the Alabama Crimson Tide came in ranked No. 1 in the nation.

For the second time in many weeks, the Florida Gators found themselves right behind the Crimson Tide, coming in at No. 2. The Harris poll also thinks highly of the Gators, putting them at No. 3 while the computers believe the Gators should be the No. 1 team in the nation.

There was change following the top two spots, however, as Kansas State and Oregon swapped spots following the Wildcats dismantling of formerly No. 13 ranked West Virginia on the road.

Meanwhile, Florida State also benefited from the new standings, moving up from No. 14 to No. 12 in the BCS rankings.

Here are the second BCS standings from No. 1 through No. 25:
