2012 ACC Football Standings: Seminoles remain atop standings

The Florida State Seminoles remain atop the ACC football standings, after taking care of conference foe Miami (FL) University

Robert Mayer-US PRESSWIRE

After taking care of business on the road against Miami (FL) University, the Florida State Seminoles remained atop the ACC football standings with their 4-1 conference record and 7-1 overall.

While they lead the ACC in wins, the team is tied in the loss column with several other ACC Atlantic teams, including the Clemson Tigers, North Carolina State Wolfpack and Maryland Terrapins, who the Seminoles fell to earlier in the season.

The Seminoles have just four more games remaining on their regular season schedule, with two on the road and two at home. Florida State's next two games will be against ACC Coastal teams, before visiting divisional foe Maryland.

Perhaps Florida State's biggest test this regular season, though, will be the final game of the season against currently No.2 ranked Florida Gators. The outcome of that game may potentially have a huge impact for the Seminoles and their chances of winning the ACC.
