The (6-2) UCF Knights 54-17 victory over Marshall on Saturday at Edwards Stadium continued the team's perfect ways in Conference USA, improving their record to 4-0 in the conference as they remain atop in the East standings.
While the Knights continued to roll and winning their fourth consecutive game, their toughest competition faltered as East Carolina suffered their first conference loss, after being blown out against Navy.
UCF now controls their own destiny in the East, per say, but it all depends on whether or not they can take care of business down the stretch. The Knights next two games will be against out of division opponents, but do play in the conference.
Opposing UCF in the other Conference USA division are the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, who have not lost a game since their season opener at Iowa State. Like the Knights, Tulsa holds a comfortable lead in their division, with their closest competition being 3-1 in conference play.
