Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee is closing towards the franchise record for field goals made. The current record is held by Mike Hollis, who made 175 field goals for the Jaguars. That record has stood for 10 years, but Scobee is one field goal away from tying it.
Scobee already set the team record for points back in Week 2 against the Houston Texans. He enters Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears having made 13 consecutive field goals. In his career, Scobee has already had two separate streaks of 15 consecutive field goals made and one more of 14 consecutive made.
Scobee has played all nine seasons of his NFL career with the Jaguars after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. In his career he has hit 79.5 percent of his field goals and has missed only four extra point attempts. So far this season, he has hit all seven field goals attempted, the longest from 47 yards.
