LeBron James injury: Heat star heads to locker room with cramps

There were reports that LeBron James went to the locker room with an apparent right ankle injury in the third quarter of Tuesday night's season opener against the Boston Celtics. James returned to the Heat bench, but twice had to go back to the locker room after suffering from cramps.

With James out in the last couple of minutes of the third quarter, the Heat closed the quarter on a 12-2 run against the Celtics James, the reigning MVP in both the regular season and Finals, has 26 points and is shooting 10 of 16 from the field halfway into fourth quarter. He also has 10 rebounds.

The Heat have been control for most of the game, even though Boston started the fourth quarter off strong. Miami newcomers Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis have chipped in double figures off the bench.

James eventually returned to locker room again in the fourth quarter, still apparently dealing with cramps.
