In somewhat of a surprise, Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been listed as probable on the team's injury report before Miami's Week 5 game against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.
It's unknown when Tannehill injured his thumb, but Friday was the first day the rookie from Texas A&M has appeared on the injury report. Even with his injured thumb, Tannehill was able to be a full participant in practice today.
Tannehill appears to be starting to master the Dolphins offense after coming off one of his best performances of the season in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals. Tannehill threw for 431 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in Miami's 24-21 overtime loss. For the season, Tannehill has passed for 1,036 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions.
If Tannehill is unable to play, head coach Joe Philbin will turn to veteran backup Matt Moore.
