Pioneer League leader Jacksonville University takes on Morehead State on Saturday in a league matchup between the top FCS pass defenses in JU, against a prolific passing attack in Morehead St.
The Dolphins became the nation's best pass defense after holding their last opponent, Marist, to just 86 yards in the air. But the JU squad isn't overreacting to the accolade, rather looking to extend their four-game winning streak to five.
JU is only giving up 116 receiving yards per game this season. Secondary coach Danny Verpaele told the Dolphins' team website that he is impressed with Morehead State's air attack:
"They are a great passing team. They throw the ball a lot, last year they threw it 50 times against us, and they have great athletes on the perimeter.''
