Bears vs. Jaguars score update: Jacksonville tied with Chicago at half, 3-3

After a strong drive at the end of the first quarter set the Jaguars up with the ball in the red zone, they drive stalled and they were forced to settle for a game-tying Josh Scobee field goal from 31 yards out. The score stayed the same from then on, and the two teams enter the second half still tied.

While the Jaguars defense allowed some, they managed to stop any big plays and didn't give the Bears the opportunity to get into field goal range. Particularly strong was the play of Derek Cox who continued his strong play in the first quarter by continuing to shut down Brandon Marshall in the second.

On a drive at the end of the quarter, Blaine Gabbert had some success hitting Cecil Shorts III, Justin Blackmon and Kevin Elliott for solid gains, but a Corey Wootton sack forced a fumble and ended the drive in the red zone.

The Jaguars quelled one final drive from the Bears to keep the score tied heading to halftime. At the half, Gabbert has completed 10-of-18 passes for 120 yards while Jay Cutler has completed 10-of-20 for 110.
