Bears vs. Jaguars score update: Jacksonville trails 3-0 after one quarter

Things didn't look much different for the Jaguars in the beginning of the first quarter of their Week 5 matchup against the Bears. With signs of an utterly dormant offense existing early, the Jaguars bounced back with a strong drive and will begin the second quarter deep in Bears territory, although they trail after one quarter, 3-0.

After receiving the opening kickoff, Jacksonville managed just six yards and were forced to punt. However, the Bears gave the Jaguars a gifted opportunity as Jay Cutler threw a pass intended for Brandon Marshall that was intercepted by Derek Cox.

The interception gave the Jaguars offense the ball on the 45-yard line in Chicago territory, but another three-and-out forced Bryan Anger to come out for his second punt of the day. It was on the second drive for the Bears, that Matt Forte and Jay Cutler found a rhythm and drove the field on the Jaguars defense.

The drive sputtered inside the red zone though, and the Bears were forced to settle for a 32-yard Robbie Gould field goal to take an early lead.

On the ensuing drive, the Jaguars received a pair of first down receptions from Justin Blackmon, a 20-yard run from Maurice Jones-Drew and an impressive first down catch by Marcedes Lewis to get into the red zone.
