Ryan Anderson put up 29 points for the Boston College Eagles on Sunday, pacing them to a 84-70 win over the FIU Golden Panthers. Jerome Frink had 22 points and ten rebounds for FIU, but they didn't have enough depth to hang with BC.
Malik Smith had 16 points for FIU, and Tola Akomolafe finished with ten. However, those were the only three FIU players to finish in double figures, and the Panthers shot below 40% as a team.
BC, on the other hand, had a more balanced effort. Anderson also had 17 rebounds in addition to his 29 points, and Patrick Heckmann, Dennis Clifford, and Olivier Hanlan all finished with 12 points. The Eagles were an attrocious 2-17 from three point range, but outrebounded FIU by a 44-27 margin. BC had three players besides Anderson finish with more than five rebounds.
FIU doesn't play again until Saturday, Nov. 17th, when they Stephen F. Austin.
